Film Club Reopens at County

Selkirk Film Club has restarted with a full programme for 2025-26.
Showings will be upstairs at the County Hotel on one Friday night per month, from Friday 17th october.
Doors open at 7:00pm, with the film usually starting at 7:30.
Opening night's presentation of Cinema Paradiso was big success, with the classic film playing to a full house.

Cinema Paradiso
This multi award-winning homage to the love of cinema tells the story of Salvatore, now a successful film director, returning home for the funeral of Alfredo, his old friend who was the projectionist at the local cinema throughout his childhood. Memories of all the highs and lows that shaped his life come flooding back, as Salvatore reconnects with the community he left 30 years earlier.
The County upstairs bar will be open for the sale of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
