Save Selkirk Leisure Centre - Call For Members

Added at 10:00 on 07 December 2025

As laid out in the Scottish Borders Council report into the proposed restructuring of the entire Live Borders estate, the Selkirk Leisure Centre, along with others across the Borders, will close in March 2029, unless a new, community-led, initiative can be created to maintain its viablity.

Now, a Steering group is to be formed, to look at ways in which these vital town assets can be protected and enhanced.

The Council have pledged to support the group in its endeavours to create a transition to a new structure.
