Borders Entertainment Contest, Victoria Halls - hosted by the Silver Band

The Selkirk Silver Band will be hosting this Borders-wide band contest, taking place during the day at the Victoria Halls, MC'ed by John Nichol.
The main hall will be filled with the music of composer John Williams on Saturday 4th November as Selkirk Silver Band host this year’s Borders Entertainment Contest.
15 Bands from all over the UK will take part in this contest day of music making, including at least one John Williams composition in their programme – look out for music from ‘Star Wars’, ‘Harry Potter’, ‘Jurassic Park’, ‘Jaws’, ‘ET’ to name but a few.
The event kicks off from 10.30a.m. and will be ably compered by our own Mr John Nichol, and adjudicated by Mr David Thornton and Mr Jim Chamberlain.
Selkirk Silver Band are delighted to be hosting this year’s event, and look forward to warmly welcoming fellow band members and supporters to our town – it will be a busy day in Selkirk!
