Scottish film-maker Ciaran Lyons has agreed to present his new film Tummy Monster at a special screeing for Sekirk Film Club on 22nd May at the County Hotel.

Ciaran is currently touring his film round independent venues and will visit Selkirk to show the film and chat about the process of grass roots film making and distribution in Scotland.

There is also a Selkirk connection: the film's production designer comes from the town.

Tummy Monster had its world premiere at Glasgow Film Festival 2024, and has played a string of international festivals, as well as receiving 4 BIFA longlist nominations.

It has been a huge hit with the audiences who have seen it. The trailer is available on YouTube at this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuWtLjIel3Q

The County Hotel has returned as the traditional venue for screenings, and they are keen to host the Film Club again.

The screening will take place on Thursday 22nd May. Doors open at 7.00pm and the evening will start at 7.30.

Entry fee is at the door - £5 (cash or cheque only).
