John Keats: Season of Mists and Mellow Fruitfulness at Scott's Courtroom

A series of exhibitions and event programmes have been organised in 2024 to mark the 200th anniversary of the publication of James Hogg’s novel The Private Memoirs and Confessions of a Justified Sinner.
Described as “Relaxed, accessible and informative”, Rantin’ Rovin’ Romantics is a new monthly series of readings of extracts from the literature of Scott, Hogg and their contemporaries.
Incorporating collections-focused discussions, these events have been taking since at Sir Walter Scott’s Courtroom since May; the last one is on 31 October. The Courtroom also has a special exhibition about James Hogg to mark the anniversary of the publication of his seminal novel.
